Dallas County Has Done It Again
On December 24, 2016, the NNAUSA Dallas County chapter, under the leadership of High Chief Kachi Nwoke’s administration, gave out the largest number of scholarship awards. Founded 12 years ago, this year, De-Nna Nwoke who was in Nigeria during the Christmas and New Year holiday, initiated the distribution of scholarships at this annual event. In total, N3,000,000.00 was awarded to 60 students of the Ukwa/Ngwa local governments. I would like to thank the education committee consisting of De-Nna Nwoke, Mr. Chima Uko and Mr. Francis Ogbonna for their diligence and stewardship. I would also like to thank all members of the Ngwa National Association Dallas County for their efforts in putting this project together since 2002.
I encourage you all to keep it running and to never relent. Remember that all of you have helped at least 2,000 students graduate from secondary school and most of them have gone on to graduate from university. None of this could have been done without your assistance.
I wish to extend gratitude to the management and staff of Agburuike Hotel Aba for providing us with a space for the event. I’d like to thank the director of Agburuike Hotel, Mr. Chibuzor Ngwakwe, who was present and also helped to see that the event went on smoothly. We are encouraging other chapters of NNAUSA to emulate our footsteps in doing something for our people at home. We are their only hope especially when it comes to the education of our children.
High Chief Kachi Nwoke
President of Dallas County
